Brussels, Belgium, 17 June 2019 – shecco, a market accelerator for natural refrigerants, is pleased to announce the debut of Accelerate Magazine, a 10-times per year global publication that will cover how natural refrigerants and other sustainable technologies are used around the world to improve and future-proof refrigeration, air conditioning and heating systems.

The announcement was made in Atlanta at the ATMOsphere America conference on natural refrigerant, organized by shecco.

Accelerate Magazine will incorporate shecco’s regional magazines, including Accelerate America, Accelerate Europe and Accelerate Australia & New Zealand, which will cease publication. Accelerate Japan, a Japanese-language publication, will continue as a stand-alone regional magazine. shecco has previously published 100 issues of the regional magazines since 2014.

Accelerate Magazine is the first news publication written for and about the most progressive business leaders working with climate-friendly natural refrigerants throughout the world.

The first issue of Accelerate Magazine (June 2019, Vol. 1, No. 101) will be published on June 17 online at accelerate24.news, where it is viewable at no charge. In addition, print copies will be distributed at major North American trade shows serving the HVAC (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning) and refrigeration industries, including ATMOsphere conferences.

The debut issue features a cover story, “NATREFS 101: Tracing the growth of natural refrigerants through the first 100 issues of Accelerate magazines from around the world,” which describes the history of natural refrigerants in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand, Japan and China.

In addition, there are regional sections focused on developments in North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, China and Asia-Pacific. Articles on global trends include an update on the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, World Refrigeration Day, and the new global charge limit for hydrocarbon refrigerant in commercial refrigeration. Other topics include alternative technology, saving energy and thought leader Q&A.
