NINE ATMOSPHERES TO SHAKE UP HVAC&R WORLDWIDE IN 2018

February 9, 2018Featured, NewsEda Isaksson

Firmly established as the world’s leading conference series on natural refrigerants, ATMOsphere will make its mark more strongly than ever on the global HVAC&R sector in 2018. shecco is delighted to announce nine ATMOsphere conferences and networking events on five continents: North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

The opportunity is ripe for natural refrigerants to take centre stage in global efforts to reduce the climate impact of HVAC&R technologies. As countries begin to implement the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, which aims to phase down HFCs worldwide, ATMOsphere conferences provide a platform not just to showcase the latest technologies but also to address industry problems and find viable solutions to them.

The conferences will cover the latest developments in natural refrigerant technologies, including low-charge ammonia systems, hydrocarbon options and innovations to improve CO2 transcritical system performance. Untapped market opportunities will also be addressed.

Amid growing interest from end users, demand for natural refrigerant-based systems is increasing. New industry players are expected to enter the ATMOsphere limelight too.

While concentrating on the fundamental topics of ATMO conferences such as natural-refrigerant technology case studies, market trends, policy developments and end user experiences, each event will have several special programme features tailor-made for the different needs of each market.

The following ATMOsphere conferences will take place in 2018:

ATMOsphere Japan | 13 February, Tokyo, Japan

After a successful first edition, ATMOsphere Japan is returning to Tokyo, a fast, influential and innovative city, just one day before Japan’s largest retail exhibition, the Supermarket Tradeshow. The event will kick off Super February, with three other HVAC&R-related events taking place afterwards.

ATMOsphere China | 11-12 April, Beijing, China

The first-ever ATMOsphere China conference will be held in Beijing on 11-12 April 2018, starting right after China Refrigeration (9-11 April), the largest refrigeration technology exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region. The conference will bring key stakeholders to the largest HVAC&R market in the world. The event will be simultaneously translated into English and Chinese.

ATMOsphere Australia | 7 May, Sydney, Australia

After two successful editions in Melbourne and Sydney, this year’s ATMOsphere Australia will build on the knowledge gained and promises to become bigger and better. The conference will take place a day before ARBS – the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Building Services Exhibition (8-10 May 2018), the biggest HVAC&R convention in the region bringing thousands of stakeholders to town.

ATMOsphere America | 12-14 June, Long Beach, California, USA

The 7th Annual ATMOsphere America will be returning to California at a time when environmental policy at federal level remains uncertain: this makes California’s place as a progressive policy leader more important than ever before. Over 450 experts, policymakers and end users will gather at the Hyatt Regency, Long Beach, CA to learn about the very latest developments in the industry.

ATMOsphere Network Frigair | 7 June, Johannesburg, South Africa

This networking event will take place during Frigair, the only trade exhibition dedicated to the HEVAC&R market. Focused on networking with potential clients, suppliers and end users, the event will feature brief presentations giving important market and policy updates.

ATMOsphere France | 5 July, Paris, France

The first ATMO France will focus on French-speaking markets with a special focus on current and upcoming regulations such as the recently introduced HFC tax. The conference will be held in French.

ATMOsphere Asia | 4 September, Singapore

With an unprecedented end user ratio at ATMO Asia 2017, the second edition of the event will have a packed agenda including efficiency in warm climates, policy updates from South East Asia, the impact that natural refrigerant-based technologies will have on the industry.

ATMOsphere Ibérica | 18 September, Madrid, Spain

The second ATMOsphere Ibérica will build on the previous edition’s remarkable success, continuing to target the Spanish and Portuguese markets in Spanish language. Features will include policy updates from government representatives, market trends for warmer climates, an end user panel and technology case studies.

ATMOsphere Europe | 19-21 November, Lago di Garda, Italy

The conference is expected to be the biggest ATMO in terms of participants in 2018, especially after a record-breaking edition the previous year. All sponsors will profit from improved sponsorship benefits and a new programme format, offering more networking activities, knowledge exchanges and better business opportunities. With a strong focus on the growth of naturals in air conditioning and the sponsor exhibits, the conference will also cover improved applications in warmer climates, and will be simultaneously translated into English and Italian.

ATMOsphere Network Chillventa | TBC

Taking place during one of the most important HVAC&R trade shows in the world, this tailor-made networking event is ideal for a brief, two-hour follow up on the latest market and policy trends as well as networking. A sole sponsor will have the opportunity to use the ATMOsphere platform to attract and interact with end users and potential customers. Interested companies are welcome to contact shecco.
