Tokyo, 23 August, 2017: shecco will present at the International Symposium on Natural Working Fluid CO2 Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology, taking place on 17-18 September, at the Crystal Palace Hotel in Tianjin, China.
The symposium is intended to further accelerate the development of CO2 technology in refrigeration and air-conditioning, leading to further widespread adoption of CO2 in China.
Jan Dusek, managing director (shecco Japan) & business development manager (shecco APAC), will be providing key data on up-to-date CO2 market trends and global policy.

About the symposium
Participants in the International Symposium on Natural Working Fluid CO2 Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology will discuss ways to enhance the market competitiveness of CO2 in China.
The symposium comes at a crucial time as the country is currently in the process of implementing Stage II of its HCFC phase-out management plan.
As this process accelerates, China is increasingly looking towards CO2 as the ideal alternative refrigerant with the most potential.
To promote and intensify the amount of technical knowledge exchange, the conference will feature some of the world’s most prominent technical CO2 experts to share their knowledge.
Keynote speakers include Prof. Pega Hrnjak of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Prof. Armin Hafner of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and Klaas Visser of Australia-based KAV Consulting, among several other local experts from China as well as international scholars from around the world.
Dusek will join a panel of representatives from key industry organizations including the China Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association (CRAA) and Foreign Economic Cooperation Office, Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP-FECO).
The event signals the crucial role China’s government and leading industry associations expect CO2 technology to play in the Chinese market going forward.
The event is jointly hosted by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office, Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP-FECO).
Co-organizers include the China Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association (CRAA), the Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR), Tianjin Association of Refrigeration (TAR), and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
