Accelerate Corporate shows the world next-generation industrial refrigeration systems from Japan

May 10, 2016NewsAdmin Shecco

Building on the success of its Accelerate magazine series for different world regions, market accelerator shecco has published a special edition Accelerate Corporate combining expert research, end-user interviews and trend analysis on climate-friendly HVAC&R technologies. The first edition, drafted in partnership with Japan-based group Mayekawa, zooms in on NH3/CO2systems for industrial refrigeration.

While ammonia has long been an accepted industry standard refrigerant, especially in larger industrial refrigeration systems, a new generation of natural refrigerant technology is shaking up the sector. Driven by regulatory and technology change, reducing ammonia charges while simultaneously increasing energy efficiency now hold the key to unlocking the full potential of HFC-free systems around the world. The range of cutting-edge technologies delivering on this promise is wide, from low-charge ammonia systems and ammonia/CO2 cascade and secondary systems to CO2 transcritical systems and, to a smaller extent, systems using hydrocarbons and air.

Accelerate Corporate: Zooming in on market leadership

The first-ever special edition Accelerate Corporate – ‘Next-generation Industrial Refrigeration – from Japan to the World” – sheds light on the new generation of low-charge, high-efficiency NH3/CO2 secondary systems challenging traditional ammonia systems. Japanese group Mayekawa, whose system reduces the ammonia refrigerant charge to just 25kg from an original 300-400kg, outlines its five-year global strategy and highlights best-practice installations of its NewTon technology in Japan and South-East Asia.

“Accelerate Corporate, shecco’s newest member of the Accelerate family of magazines for and about leaders in climate-friendly HVAC&R technologies, will help strengthen ties with leaders who are driving the market for natural refrigerant-based solutions. More importantly, it will provide the necessary exposure for laudable initiatives and clear success stories to help convince end-users, regulators and other influential groups that natural refrigerant solutions are the way to go,” says Nina Masson, Chief Market Development Officer at shecco, and Publisher of the first Accelerate Corporate edition.

About the Content

The first edition of Accelerate Corporate features the following content:

  • Market trends: global drive towards next-generation industrial refrigeration in Japan, Europe, North America, China and Australia;
  • Ecosystems: infographics showing the broad application range for ammonia, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, water and air refrigerant-based refrigeration solutions;
  • Policy trends: overview of legislative initiatives, including bans to restrict f-gas-based refrigeration systems and financial incentive schemes to help end-users shift to natural refrigerant-based technology in Japan and the world;
  • Success stories: case studies from frozen food producer Nittobest, ice skating company Patine Leisure and logistics company Nissui Logistics;
  • A Supplier’s Vision: feature interview with president Tadashi Maekawa about Mayekawa’s “Natural Five” HFC-free strategy, ambitious sales targets by 2020 and global leadership for industrial HVAC&R applications.
