shecco is honoured to announce its new membership of the Green Cooling Initiative, a global non-profit initiative to advance the use of sustainable heating and refrigeration technology.

The Green Cooling Initiative
The initiative is a non-profit initiative set up by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. It provides an innovative platform to all cooling industry stakeholders that promote environmentally friendly solutions and targets a reduction of emissions from this sector both today and in the future. Green Cooling Initiative actions combine the promotion of natural refrigerants, the maximisation of energy efficiency and the development of a sustainable approach to private and commercial energy consumption.
Green cooling technology, such as using natural refrigerants like CO2, ammonia, hydrocarbons, water and air, help to protect the environment, save natural resources and help prevent climate change. The ultimate goal of the Green Cooling Initiative is to create a global Green Cooling Network that will accelerate the transfer of environmentally friendly technologies to the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. The Initiative aims to contribute towards a sustainable reduction of fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, including fluorinated gases.
shecco, as a natural refrigerant market accelerator, has developed advantageous and innovative products for the green cooling industry such as the Natural Voice initiative, its series of ATMOsphere events, numerous B2B platforms (R744.com, ammonia21.com, hydrocarbons21.com, R718.com) and the “Accelerate” digital magazines. As a member of the Green Cooling Initiative, shecco supports its efforts to promote natural refrigerants, bring them faster to market and protect the environment.
shecco is also pleased to announce that its Natural Voice initiative was selected as a Partner of the Green Cooling Initiative. This initiative is a global call for action currently supported by more than 100 industry, policy and other stakeholders which aims to promote the environmental, economic and social potential of natural refrigerants in heating, cooling and refrigeration.
