Market development expert shecco has made a decisive step in supporting its growing customer and partner base in Japan by opening an office in the prestigious Shin Marunouchi Building in Tokyo. During the official launch reception on 17 April 2013, Marc Chasserot, Managing Director of shecco Japan KK, outlined the scope of activities to foster the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies in Japan, and support domestic partners in expanding to new markets outside Japan.
Around 60 participants representing Japanese technology leaders, system and component suppliers, pioneering end-users and Ministry officials, joined the launch reception on 17 April 2013, in the EGG JAPAN (Entrepreneur Group for Growing JAPAN) space of the Shin Marunouchi Building located in the heart of Tokyo. Chasserot stressed shecco’s role in supporting its Japanese partners in advancing the use of climate-friendly technologies, including natural refrigerants-based technology and electric vehicles, domestically and in overseas markets.

shecco Japan fully operational, with clear plans for 2013
Following the start of operation in April, shecco Japan KK will be fully operational from day one. Plans for the year 2013 include the first Asian event organised by shecco in Tokyo, and a research project with subsequent publication carried out about the market trends for natural refrigerant technology in Japan and overseas.
The international workshop ATMOsphere Asia will be held on 17-19 September 2013 in Shin Marunouchi Building, Tokyo. The workshop will be the first full ATMOsphere event organised by shecco in Asia, with the support of its long term business partners from Asian and non-Asian regions. It will serve as a forum for a productive exchange between leading end-users, suppliers, government representatives and associations involved in bringing Asian natural refrigerant technology faster to global markets.
During the event, the first results from the “GUIDE Japan 2013 for Natural Refrigerants” will be presented – a first-ever publication about the market potential of Japanese technology domestically and outside Japan. The research project will focus on outlining best practice examples in the field of HFC-free technology, feature market and technology overview maps, and capture market and policy trends to influence the market development in Japan.
